48 Hour Musical

48 Hour Musical - What you need to know!

1. Wednesday, June 29 - 2 pm SILC

We meet at the SILC. Bring all your stuff (see below). If you have not filled in your participation agreement (2 pages) and submitted it online, bring a parent with you to do that paperwork when you check in. No paperwork, no participation! We’ll start with a “field trip” to the Green Box, come back and have dinner at the SILC, and start our real adventure at 7 pm. If you can’t make it at 2, please let us know.

2. Friday, July 1 - 7 pm District Auditorium

Have friends and family there to watch the new musical! Free Admission and lots of fun. After, your folks can drive you to the SILC to pick up your stuff.

To bring: ***some interesting prop and or/costume piece. If there’s a story attached to it, so much the better! We use these to start our brainstorming process. Clothes Phone and charger, sleeping bag/blankets, Computer/IPad and charger or notebook and pen, pillow, whatever you use to create/record ideas, toothbrush and paste, deodorant (oh, please!), things you like to snack on -or bribe the instructors with..., random stuff, musical instrument if you play something and it’s portable.

Food - we have everything for all meals.

To know: Most of our work will be in the SILC. Guys will be sleeping in the Theatre Lab, ladies will be in the Band Room. Instructors will be roaming around, and yes, we will get you up for breakfast - no matter how late you got to sleep. Showers are available in the gym, but hey, who needs to bathe?

Communication: We have a Sports U to communicate: here is the code: 3N32-ETE7. Your folks can sign up as well. If you don’t know how to do a Sports U, we’ll get you set up when you check in.

Insane Leaders of this odd event: Wendy Harms, Theatre Instructor for MSHS, Charles Sjolander, Life long Songwriter, Music Director, Performer and Teacher, Abby Steen - Choir Director for MSHS, Nicole Berry - choreographer extraordinaire and former MSHS Dance instructor and Sam Bishop - theatre director, puppeteer and performer.
