Paper Collage BOGO
Join our new middle school visual art teacher who loves working with littles in this delicious paper based class! We will bus children to the SILC after-school. PICK UP IS AT THE SILC AT 4:30pm. Or choose to have us bus your little one home at 4:30pm from the SILC.
The K-2's theme for the 13 weeks is Paper Collage. They will complete three separate projects, using four weeks to complete each piece. During the 13th week we will have a mini art show where we reflect on what we've accomplished.
Project 1 (Weeks 1-4): Kandinsky Flowers
Students will learn about Wassily Kandinsky's use of concentric circles. They will paint their own in varying sizes, cut them out, and create a collaged flower garden on a separate sheet of painted paper.
Project 2 (Weeks 5-8): Klee Cityscapes
Students will learn about Paul Klee's use of repeated geometric shapes and bright colors. Students will use various cut paper techniques and overlapping to collage their own cityscapes in Klee's style.
Project 3 (Weeks 9-12): Van Gogh Landscapes
Students will learn about Van Gogh's landscapes and swirled colored paintings. They will mimic these techniques with paint and pastels. They will then cut the painted papers to create their own landscape.
Registration for this session has ended.
